3. XAMPP: Why don't you test the website before you upload it to the hosting machine?
   XAMPP is an integrated web environment with Apache and mysql support, They 're the most widely used technology for most of the hosting company. We could setup drupal, movable type , moodle and other popular CMS easily using XAMPP.

   There 's no better way to setup an environment that act just like the real hosting environment, just download it and test it for yourself!

4. Inkscape: one picture is better than a thousand word!
   We always have to draw some picture when authoring our web content, of course, commercial tools like coreldraw is excellent , but they are expensive if we only have small website and simple content to do.

   That is why we choose Inkscape, an opensource graphics editor that could do the similiar, It might not be as good as coreldraw, but you will be satisfied.
